Tommy Zuo, Chairman of ATA EAsia Timur Assets, Attends Entrepreneurial Meeting Chaired by Indonesia’s China Cooperation Lead, Minister Luhut

On June 14, 2024, Indonesian Minister for Maritime and Investment Affairs and coordinator of China-Indonesia cooperation, Luhut, met with Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, in Beijing. Both parties reached significant consensus on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Indonesia, injecting new momentum into the development of bilateral relations.

Subsequently, Minister Luhut traveled to Shanghai for a meeting with Chen Jining, the Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Committee. During the meeting, Chen Jining outlined Shanghai’s economic and social development, emphasizing that Shanghai would earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, thereby contributing positively to the construction of a China-Indonesia community of shared destiny. The two sides reached a broad consensus on further deepening sister city relationships, strengthening cultural exchanges, and promoting industrial connectivity.

Following the meeting, Minister Luhut met with representatives of prominent Chinese entrepreneurs investing in Indonesia at the Bund in Shanghai. Asia Timur Assets, an integrated real estate investment and management platform in SEA, garnered significant attention from Minister Luhut and was invited to participate in the entrepreneurial gathering. Tommy Zuo, Chairman and CEO of Asia Timur Assets, attended the meeting.

During the entrepreneurial meeting, Minister Luhut expressed his hope to further deepen business cooperation between Chinese and Indonesian enterprises, strengthen mutual benefits, accelerate the establishment of cooperative projects, enhance cooperation levels, promote friendly exchanges among personnel, and better benefit the peoples of both countries. Tommy Zuo stated that ATA Asia Timur Assets would actively respond to the important consensus of the leaders of China and Indonesia, leverage its strengths, and contribute to the cooperation between enterprises of both countries.

The successful organization of this meeting not only injected new momentum into business cooperation between China and Indonesia but also provided ATA Asia Timur Assets with an important platform for direct dialogue with Indonesian officials and entrepreneurs.
